Why Did You Decide to
Become a Dentist?

Dr. Moaz decided to become a dentist when he was in his early teens. He used to visit the dentist with his family and saw firsthand how his mother's smile was changed for the better. This not only improved her esthetics, but she also gained more confidence. For Dr. Moaz, he wanted to be able to do the same for other people.

Where Did You Study
Dentistry?

Dr. Moaz attended the International University for Science and Technology in Damascus and earned his first dental degree in 2013. After completing his residency, he came to the U.S. to further his education at the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, receiving his DMD degree in 2020. He was elected to join the dental honor society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon, which is a highly prestigious designation only offered to the top 12% of an entire dental class based on both academic achievement and exemplary character.

Dr. Moaz was also given The International College of Dentists Award for demonstrating outstanding academic accomplishment, leadership, character, and dedication to serving the community and the dental profession.

Since then, he has become Invisalign certified and completed a hands-on dental implant training marathon. He is always learning and takes a lot of continuing education hours through his memberships in the American Dental Association, Connecticut State Dental Association, International College of Dentists, and Spear Education.

Outside of the Dental
Office, What Do You
Like to Do?

When he isn’t working, Dr. Moaz enjoys exploring new restaurants and cities with his wife, Rama, and their young son, Khalid (who wants to be a dentist when he grows up!). He also likes playing soccer, going to the gym, collecting old coins while traveling around the world, and cheering on the Patriots and Celtics.
